1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the website, inquiries, quotations, bookings and services provided under the Inside China Journeys brand.

By using this website, submitting an inquiry, accepting a quotation or making a payment, you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms together with the applicable Booking & User Agreement, Payment Policy and Cancellation Policy.

2. Our services

We provide private China journeys, selected local experiences, business visit support and special-purpose travel planning.

Depending on the booking, services may include itinerary planning, accommodation coordination, transport, local hosts, guides, interpreters, restaurants, venues, tickets and other on-the-ground arrangements.

Some services are delivered by independent hotels, transport providers, guides, hosts, venues and other suppliers. We select and coordinate these suppliers with reasonable care.

3. Inquiries, quotations and bookings

Submitting an inquiry does not create a confirmed booking.

A booking becomes confirmed only when:

  • the service scope, dates and price have been confirmed in writing;
  • the required payment has been received; and
  • we have issued written booking confirmation.

A quotation may be subject to availability and may have an expiry date. Prices may change before confirmation if supplier availability, exchange rates, taxes or the requested service scope changes.

4. Traveller information and responsibilities

You must provide accurate names, contact details, travel dates, passport information and other information reasonably required for the service.

Travellers are responsible for passports, visas, health requirements, travel insurance and compliance with applicable laws and local rules.

Please inform us before booking about dietary requirements, allergies, mobility needs, medical considerations or other circumstances that may affect service delivery.

5. Payments

Payments must be made according to the amount, currency and schedule stated in the quotation, invoice or payment request.

Payments may be processed by third-party payment service providers. Additional charges imposed independently by a customer’s bank or card issuer are outside our control.

6. Changes

Guest-requested changes are subject to availability and may result in additional costs.

We may make reasonable changes where necessary because of weather, closures, transport disruption, safety concerns, supplier availability or other circumstances. We will aim to provide a suitable alternative of comparable value where reasonably possible.

7. Force majeure

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, public-health events, transport disruption or the closure of attractions and venues.

Where possible, we will work with the traveller and suppliers to reschedule services or recover refundable amounts.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information provided by the traveller, failure to obtain required documents, personal decisions, missed connections, or the independent acts of third-party suppliers outside our reasonable control.

9. Intellectual property

Website content, branding, writing, design and original materials belong to or are used with permission. They may not be copied or commercially reused without written permission.

10. Complaints

Please contact us as soon as possible if a problem occurs, so that we have a reasonable opportunity to assist.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

The courts of Hong Kong shall have jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
