Length
Your journey can be one focused day, several days, one week, or a longer trip across China.
Tailor-Made China Journeys
Inside China Journeys creates private, tailor-made China trips for international travelers, families, couples, and small private groups. Each multi-day itinerary is shaped around your dates, interests, pace, budget level, destinations, and preferred local support. To begin, share a rough trip idea through our inquiry form; we will use it to discuss the route and next planning steps.
HOW IT WORKS
You do not need to know every stop before contacting us. We can start with a rough idea, then shape a private itinerary that fits your time, interests, budget level, and travel style.
Your journey can be one focused day, several days, one week, or a longer trip across China.
Stay in one city or connect several places by high-speed rail, domestic flights, private transfers, or a mix. Explore destination ideas for Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, and Zhangjiajie.
Depending on the plan, some days may include a local host, guide, interpreter, or driver as part of the journey. Other days can stay lighter if you prefer more free time.
You do not need to decide every detail yourself. We can suggest a route, then adjust it around your interests, pace, budget level, and preferred comfort.
We can begin with a city, an interest, a personal occasion, or a rough route idea, then shape it around you.
START WITH YOUR OWN IDEA
We can shape the journey around your dates, group, budget level, pace, interests, and priorities.
MAKE IT YOUR OWN
These are flexible interests, not separate product lines. Add one or combine several within your private journey.
Neighborhoods, teahouses, parks, creative spaces, design hotels, small rituals, and contemporary local life.
Breakfast stalls, local markets, regional cuisines, family-style meals, tea culture, and community rhythm.
Comfortable, meaningful journeys for families with children, teenagers, or multiple generations. Read a real story about an American family’s first days in Beijing.
Mountains, rivers, villages, pandas, grasslands, seasonal scenery, and slower regional travel.
Museums, galleries, contemporary architecture, restored neighborhoods, craft, and modern Chinese aesthetics.
HOW PLANNING WORKS
You do not need a fixed itinerary before asking. Start with your dates, interests, group, and anything that still feels unclear.
Tell us what brings you to China, when you hope to travel, who is coming, and the kind of pace or experiences you prefer.
We usually reply within 24 hours with a few suggested next steps and any questions needed to understand your journey.
When you are ready for a detailed custom proposal, a US$150 Journey Design Fee applies. It covers the initial journey design, preliminary availability checks, a proposed route and quote, and up to two rounds of reasonable refinement.
The fee is non-refundable once planning begins. If you confirm your journey within 60 days of receiving the final proposal, the full US$150 is credited toward your confirmed journey price. The fee does not reserve hotels, transport, guides, hosts, venues, or tickets.
Once you approve the journey direction, the booking payment is normally 40% of the confirmed journey price. Any Journey Design Fee already paid is credited toward this payment.
If hotels, transport, tickets, venues, or specialist services require a higher advance commitment, we will explain this clearly before payment. The remaining balance is due 45 days before departure. For journeys confirmed within 45 days of departure, full payment is due at confirmation.
Tell us your timing, who is coming, the cities you are considering, and the kind of support you need. We will suggest the right next step.
